Sodalite

Sodalite, a pale blue felspathod, along with 2 other minerals commonly associated with it, nepheline and cancrinite, are very difficult to find in crystaline form. This sodalite specimen almost barely has visible crystals amongst the massive matrix, which is why I picked it up. The whole specimen is about an inch and a half across, and comes from Mont Saint Hilaire in Quebec, Canada.
