Cacoxenite in Quartz Amethyst

A nice, lightly purple cluster of amethyst crystals with lots of radiating, bronzy cacoxenite crystals branching from within. The close up image shows much nicer details in the cacoxenite. Oftentimes, when found, this inclusion is undesirable as it 'muddies up' the otherwise well defined purple appearance of the amethyst. As an inclusion collector, I enjoy them, however. The whole cluster is about 3 1/2 inches long.
