Molybdenite

A metallic pale blue platy crystal of molybdenite. Molybdenite is extremely fragile, with a hardness close to 2, and is often not found in well formed crystals. This crystal preserves the hexagonal crystal structure of molybdenite very well. The crystal measures about half an inch tall.
