Copper veins within Gypsum

No doubt my favorite inclusion specimen. This beautiful, ice clear crystal of gypsum is the host for a unique inclusion of copper. The copper can be seen snaking about throughout the depth of the crystal, forming little dendritic branches, sometimes following the internal flaws within the gypsum. The gypsum crystal is about 1/4th of an inch thick and around an inch long.
