Cerussite

Cerussite is another peculiar mineral. Typically, transparent minerals are light, such as quartz and topaz, but cerussite is not so. It is extremely dense, like most metallic minerals, so looks are quite deceiving. It gets its high density from the lead component of its formula. Cerussite also loves to form twins, and this crystal is a good example of that. The crystal twins are about half an inch long.
