Vanadinite within Calcite

An interesting combination of hexagonal, brownish vanadinite crystals growing on and within calcite crystals. In this sample it is easier to see how inclusion minerals come about being formed. While calcite growth ceased, vanadinite growth would take place, and would either cease or be overwhelmed by reoccuring calcite growth later, engulfing some crystals of vanadinite within its structure. This sample is about an inch across and an inch tall.
