Pyrite inclusions in Calcite

This crystal is quite amazing. A nice icy clear crystal of calcite that has jagged pyrite running all through the crystal. The very strong double refraction of the mineral calcite is apparent, especially in the closer images. A strange layer of brownish mineraliziation coats the crystal half through. This sample reminds me of a frozen thunderstorm. The crystal is about an inch and a half long.
